The advisor for the Film program did not review what types of classes would be helpful in pursuing a career. Yes, I new that this was a hard field to break into. I feel like the advisor should have directed me to more hands on classes instead of classes that were just about learning vocabulary and different genres. Although I enjoyed most of the classes I took, I was disappointed in the hands on experience. I also believe they should update their class descriptions. I took a class that was supposed... Read More to be about women in film. It ended up being a class about women who made films that were emphasizing sexual orientations. Although I have no qualms about lesbians, I did not want to watch a lesbian pornography, which is what I saw a lot of and was required to write about for my grade.
